The aim of the competition is to encourage students to approach the (urban) environment around them creatively and innovatively, to notice and offer solutions to everyday environmental issues.

General rules of the project:

● All grades 5-12 of general education schools can take part. class students
● The project must be related to nature and/or the environment
● The language of the video is Estonian
● Assessment takes place in three age levels: II and III grades and high school
● The jury will select the three best works in all age groups by April 1.

Requirements for submitted videos:

video length 1-2 minutes (maximum up to 3 minutes)
technical parameters:
– resolution at least 1280*720, preferably 1920*1080
– frame rate at least 24
– format AVI or MP4

  • By submitting a video clip, the performer confirms that he owns all the copyrights related to the video clip and has all the permissions related to making the video clip (including the permission of the persons participating in the video clip to film them).
  • The performer assigns all the author’s property rights arising from the video clip to the organizer.
  • The submitter grants the organizer a simple license to exercise the author’s personal rights (with the exception of the right to authorship, the right to the author’s name and the right to protect the honor and dignity of the author) to the video clip until the end of the copyright term.
  • In the future, the organizer may use all submitted video clips in part or in full without the approval of the author both in Estonia and abroad without paying an additional fee.
  • The jury has the right to remove videos from the competition whose content and performance do not meet the conditions of the competition or go against good practice.

The project must reflect the following theme-year keywords:

  • innovation, urban space, nature, sustainable, biodiversity

The video must be submitted to the Tallinn Board of Education by March 15, 2023 at tema-aasta@tallinnlv.ee.

The video must be uploaded to YouTube as a public video, and the link to the video must be sent by e-mail.

The work must be accompanied by a short description in Estonian (up to 5 sentences) with the name of the author(s), school, class and supervisor.
