Events

Andres Saag is an associate professor at the Institute of Ecology and Earth Sciences of the University of Tartu, a lichenologist by profession. He has been photographing lichens since the beginning of this century. Most of the photos were taken to illustrate handbooks introducing lichens. A small selection of Andres’ more than 1,300 lichen photos is on display at the exhibition.

The photos are complemented by texts introducing the lichens shown in them and lichen specimens collected from nature from some of the species shown in the photos.

The event is part of the special program of the European Green Capital in the Botanical Garden.
