Pelgu urban garden project
The opening event of the project “Pelguaed allotment garden construction and follow-up activities in urban gardening” will take place on Tuesday, March 21, at 5:30 p.m. at Põhja-Tallinn Community House (Kari 13). The event will be broadcasted and the video will be available later on the Facebook page of Põhja-Tallinna Valitsus.
Urban gardening is popular in the city of Tallinn. On the initiative of local residents and with the support of the city of Tallinn, 30 community gardens have already been created today, where more than 2,500 local people are active.
In the year of the European Green Capital, a new allotment garden will be built as a further development of the existing Pelguaed. The new allotment garden is planned as part of Pollinator Highway in Põhja-Tallinn, on the corner of Kolde and Ehte street.
