The workshops will be conducted by Peeter Pihel, the chef of the Fotografiska Tallinn restaurant and the advocate of the idea of Estonian food and sustainability for many years. During the training, young people are introduced to the concept of sustainability, major concerns related to the topic, the zero waste way of thinking, innovative ways to live and eat more sustainably, etc. He also offers young people salty and sweet snacks made from food scraps in his restaurant.
The city of Tallinn will hold the title of European Green Capital in 2023 and wants to make school children also think about environmental issues, and how a sustainable way of thinking can improve the quality of life for all of us. We want to show young people how the city develops and adapts to the changes taking place in the world, and help the city’s residents better understand why it is necessary to preserve the living environment and how they can contribute to environmental protection themselves.
