Seaweed construction workshops: Kathryn Larsen
Come join us for seaweed construction workshops at Kopli 93!
Often overlooked and undervalued, seaweed holds great potential for design. We’ll cover the where, when, and how of harvesting Estonia’s most common species, showcasing their use through self-made bioplastics and construction panels.
The workshops are led by architect and researcher Kathryn Larsen (DK), whose work has spanned seaweed-based practices from vernacular Danish building traditions to bioengineering future materials in the Netherlands.
The workshops are in English and free of charge. All materials and equipment are provided. Everything you make is yours to keep!
