“WILDLY BRIGHT” – EUROPEAN GREEN CAPITAL LIGHT SHOWS

During the darkest time of the year, Tallinn – European Green Capital 2023 invites you to experience five light installations on urban nature and space in your hometown, where light and music intertwine.

Performances will take place from December 1st to 3rd in the Old Town at five different locations:

Performance “Imagine” at 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM in the Commandant’s Garden

Performance “Raba” at 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM on Harju Hill

Performance “Mets” at 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM in Hirvepark

Performance “Blossom” at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM in Toompark

Performance “Maakene” at 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM in Tornide Square

The performance “IMAGINE” tells the story of our home – Earth. The home which protection and care are the shared responsibility of all of us.

The performance “RABA” is a contemplation on the interconnectedness of the human soul, freedom, and nature. Just as the human soul needs care and attention, so does the bog, as an essential balance in our ecosystem.

The performance “METS” draws attention to the value and significance of the forest in human life. Every tree is a living, majestic member of a family that must be protected. Protecting the forest means protecting life.

The performance “BLOSSOM” tells the story of flowers and blooming as life with a beginning and an end. Sometimes when we feel buried, we are actually just planted.

The performance “MAAKENE” speaks of the relationship and attitude of humans toward our home planet. Our actions determine our fate, not the fate of the Earth. Earth endures. But what about us?

Performances can be watched consecutively, with sufficient time in between to move to the next location. You can also attend different performances on different days, as you prefer and suits you best.
